l/o to explore the concept of representation and stereotypes
the media offers the audience an interpretation of the world.
stereotypical
a stereotype is a generalised representation of a person place or thing.they are limited and often offensive or used for comedy.
nanny-old female who likes cabbage soup and falls asleep all the time.
nurse-a young female who works in a busy hospital.
teenager-stroppy young boy who wears all black and stays in his room
astronaut- a man and middle aged who is fit and strong
football player-a skinny man who is really fast and not strong.
opera fan-very old man and women who are rich.
teacher-smart man or women with a cain.
tattoo lover-middle aged crisis man who smokes and drives a bad car.
serotypes - are they reinforced or challenged?
reinforced the teachers are represented good but the year 9 girls are represented as naughty and naughty. one of the teachers are trying to be funny and enfusiastic and happy but hes stressed which is a stereotype of new teachers.
how do people act?
teachers act professionally however the students act nughty
what do they say?
they swear and dont behave well
what surprises you?
the behave of students and how they get away with loads.
